The CTM College-Level outgoing exchange for 2027 Spring is now open for applications. Please see below eligibilities and required materials for application and submit your application materials to your program’s office before deadline. 

Eligibilities

l   Eligibility for Outgoing Exchange: Undergraduate students in their 2^nd year or above, and Master’s/Ph.D. students in their 1^st year or above at CTM. Applicants must maintain active student status at NTHU throughout the exchange period. Students who fulfill graduation requirements must apply for deferred graduation at least 1 month prior to their original expected graduation date. Students who plan to suspend their studies during the exchange period are NOT eligible to apply (taking a leave of absence will result in disqualification).

l   Eligibility for Exchange Scholarship: Full-time CTM undergraduate students in their 3^rd year or above, and Master’s/Ph.D. students in their 2^nd year or above. (Note: 2^nd -year undergraduates and 1^st-year graduate students are eligible for exchange placement only and are NOT eligible for the CTM scholarship).

Tuition and Fees

Students will be required to pay tuition fees to their home university and will be waived from the tuition of the host university. Students are responsible for all incurring fees, including but not limited to travel, living costs, accommodation, insurance and administrative fees requested by the host university.

 Application Categories & Guidelines

🔹 【Category A: CTM College-Level Exchange Students】 (Integrated Application)

• Target Applicants: Students applying for exchange programs under CTM bilateral partner agreements.

• How to Apply: Check the box "Wish to apply for CTM Outgoing Exchange Scholarship simultaneously" in the integrated application form, and submit the complete document package at once. The CTM Office will evaluate both exchange placement and scholarship eligibility together.

🔹 【Category B: University-Level Exchange Students】 (Scholarship Only)

• Target Applicants: Students who have already been accepted into university-level exchange programs by the Office of Global Affairs (OGA), but did not receive the OGA scholarship.

• How to Apply: Submit the integrated application form (listing your accepted university as your 1st choice) along with the full document package and your "OGA Exchange Acceptance Letter" to apply solely for the CTM scholarship.

Required Application Materials

• • CTM Outgoing Exchange Student & Scholarship Application Form (with applicant's signature and mentor/advisor's recommendation & signature)
  • Study Plan in English (as attached)
  • Consent Form (hand-signed)
  • Photocopies of Passport & NTHU Student ID Card (Both sides on a single A4 page)
  • NTHU Transcript in English ( should include a cumulative GPA and class rank)
  • Photocopy of Language Proficiency Certificate (TOEFL iBT 79 / IELTS 6.0 (Academic) or equivalent official proficiency in other foreign languages (TOEIC, GEPT, GRE strictly excluded). Must also fulfill any specific requirements set by the host university.

 Scholarship Qualification & Requirements

Applicants applying for the CTM exchange scholarship must meet the following updated basic requirements:

• Academic Record: Cumulative GPA of 3.40 or above in the previous academic year (last two semesters), or ranked in the top 20% of the class.

• Language Proficiency: Minimum TOEFL iBT 79 / IELTS 6.0 (Academic) or equivalent official proficiency in other foreign languages (TOEIC, GEPT, GRE strictly excluded). Must also fulfill any specific requirements set by the host university.

• Obligations: Scholarship recipients must complete and pass at least 3 professional courses per semester (undergraduate) or 1 course (graduate) during the exchange period, submit a study report within 30 days upon returning to Taiwan, and participate in exchange sharing sessions organized by CTM.

International students are eligible for application, however, they are only eligible for going on the exchange to partner schools that are not in the same country of the student’s country of origin.
