Chulalongkorn University-Faculty of Economics

The Faculty of Economics, Chulalongkorn University, was officially founded on August 8, 1970 as a result of the collaboration between the Department of Economics in the Faculty of Commerce and the Department of Public Finance in the Faculty of Political Science. The principal objective of the Faculty is to undertake activities that promote economic and social development of Thailand.

VISION & MISSION

In support of Chulalongkorn University’s vision and mission, the Faculty of Economics aspires to become a leader in creating knowledge, fostering learning culture, tackling social problems and promoting social sustainability in fast-moving world.
The faculty’s vision is complemented by a five-pronged mission statement:
1) To achieve academic excellence in teaching and research
2) To create high-quality graduates with innovative knowledge and skills required in a 21st-century workforce
3) To impact society in a transformative way by engaging with partners outside the university
4) To build an agile, responsive and efficient faculty operation
